I love the names of Japanese burger chains Mos Burger and Freshness Burger.
I'm also amused by all the Mexican places in town with names like, "Taco Burrito King", and "Super Burrito Taco". Then there's the Taco Burrito King on Western Ave. that changed ownership and is now simply "Taco Burrito (rust stain)".
I guess this the wrong thread. These are all great names.

Made-up (courtesy of my funny friends):
A pancake place called "Pancakes Pancakes Pancakes"
A religious-themed pizza joint called "Cheesus H. Crust"
A sports bar for women called "Dongs". This one has waiters in Speedos and tables that are somewhat higher than knee-high, and a little lower than waist-high. If you see where I'm going.

There's a bar in Portland, OR called Hung Far Low.
They get it.
On Halsted and Diversey-ish, there is a Mexican joint with a sign that reads:
Tacos
Burritos
#2 Palace
My future franchises will be:
The Trapper Keeper: An Olde Tymey Game Hut
Windy Sue's Chili Blast

That would be
Taco Burrito Palace #2.
That's the one that's right where Lounge Ax used to be.
Back in the Fakir days, when all 3 of the other string players lived in the building on Addison across from the police station at Addison and Halsted, we ate at the
Taco Burrito Palace on Halsted (number one, I'm guessing) a couple blocks south of Addison multiple times a week. I always got the Quesadilla. Holy frick was it oily.
I bet it still is.

There is a great taco eatery near me called Raymond's #2.. Apparently there is a #1 somewheres, but my allegiance to this #2 stands... terrible name, sublime tacos!

Let's not forget that hotdog joint near DePaul,
"Demon Dogs".

I'm glad you linked the sign. The '#2' is to the
left of 'Palace', so you read it as "number two palace". Actually, I just call it the 'poo palace' and keep going til I hit Yoshi's.
#2! C'mon! I would eat at Taco Burrito Palace, Jr. or Raymonds, the Sequel, but #2? If refried beans are on the menu?

Ahh Demon Dogs (r.i.p.) I used to eat there frequently when I worked in Lincoln Park. Good stuff. I saw many-a-people get chastised for asking for ketchup.
