Actually, no.

That was it! Thanks Maurice! Yeah, like he said.

No problem. You're right that it closed fast, and it's thought of as a bit of a bomb, but I've never seen it or heard the music.

So great.

Good God, I love that. Derek gets better and better for me on each viewing. On watching "Some Kind of Monster" I kept wondering if Kirk Hammett is the only person whose love for Derek Smalls might exceed my own. Parallels abound.

Anyway, "mime is money" is hot shit.
It's nice to want to punch Billy Crystal(wtf) in the neck for annoying you for the right reasons.

Hahahaha, totally. Kirk Hammett = lukewarm water.

"Come on guys...how about we go beat on our instruments instead of each other." Or whatever the fuck.

This scene is also funny because you can see the "keyboard player" and the "drummer" breaking up and trying to hide from the camera because they're laughing.

Duke Fame, played by the guy from Quiet Riot. Perfect.

"They were still booing him when we went on. We had to apologize to him with our set."

Hoo hoo!

"the sustain on this one... you can go and and get a bite to eat and come and come back and it's still going"

Words to that effect.
I cried with laugher.

Right before the Jazz Odyssey bass solo, St. Hubbins says, "Derek Smalls - he wrote this."

The thumbs down.

The Puppet Show headlining above Spinal Tap.

The Ian Faith cricket bat into TV.

The "where are they now" by the DJ after "Listen to the Flower People", when Tap is playing that night in the town.

The wireless failure at the Air Force base.

"That little dog that chases the covered wagon underneath the sink? That was mine."

The naming problem, The New Originals, etc.

"You can't really dust for vomit"

"Now, I mean a song like "Sex Farm", we're taking a sophisticated view of the idea of sex, you know, and music...
...and put it on a farm?
Yeah."

Nigel: "What's wrong with being sexy?" Sex-ist! Just the way he says it, chewing his gum, so funny.

The "Dubly" scene/zodiak signs.

That and the "why are we going to an Air Force base?"/wireless interference

Ian is my favorite character.
The part that makes me laugh out loud is the scene after stone henge, and the band switch him with the guitarist's girlfriend, he comes out with:

"David, when ever a single bump or ruffle comes into this adolescent fantasy you guys have built around your selves, you start screaming like a bunch of poncey hairdressers".

AND

"...you know what i do, I find lost luggage, I locate mandolin strings in the middle of austin... I prize the rent out of the local hebrews..."

AND

"Look this is my position. I am not managing it with you or any other woman, especially one that dresses like an australian's nightmare. So fuck you."

I like the fact one of this first thing David's gf does as manager is to make up the band's astrological charts.

Anyone else find Bobbi Fleckman strangely attractive? Any takers?

Oh yeah, I love it when the limousine driver is talking to them, and in mid conversation, nobody says anything to him, the glass partition just goes up.

I love it when they get copies of smell the glove, and they initially try to make the best of it. The bass players says "it looks like black leather... you can see your self on both sides... it's like a black mirror." That whole scene was great.
