they played tonight, im glad we had free tickets, we left early. my friend that i went with had seen them twice before and said they were incredible, and even tonight, he was so disgruntled at what they've 'become.' i felt like i was listening to a jam band. so many frat guys there too, apparently they played at bonoroo or some shit like that i dont know what the hell it is, but there were a bunch of longhairs smokin weed and spreadin their stink around. aside from that, the music and the 'far-out' 'psychadelic' projection screen show basically put us to sleep.

i bought their newest cd, it was entirely forgettable, then i got 'millions now living' which is only slightly less forgettable in my mind.

the whole minimalist phillip glass looping thing just does nothing for me.

Can and Faust. Which is weird because I love Neu! and they always get lumped together as the big three Krautrockers. I've have Can's Tago Mago and Faust's Tapes but I don't go back to them the way I do to Neu!.

Okay, I thought I remembered reading this, but immediately dismissed it because I figured there was just no way it could be true, but I've had this nagging feeling ever since, so I checked it out and there are actually people here who don't like Joy Division. That's just fucked up.

This is not an issue of 'it's subjective' or whatever. There is something wrong with you and you should fix it somehow or at the very least lie and pretend you like them.....

Lots of good mentions already (MC5, Superchunk, GBV). Zappa has always irritated me, too, terrific guitarist though he was.
