inexperience as a senator is an asset. the reason governors are infinitely more electable than members of congress is that the governor has a whole slew of folks to blame for mistakes and yet can take full credit for successes. for a member of congress there is a public record of every little thing you've done just waiting to be distorted--and the republican machine was built for doing just that. it's like being on salary vs. hourly. fuck, i get to work at 9:30 and leave at 4. there's no time card to prove i wasn't here at 8. also, i perceive congress as having a lot more regular association than governors with lobbyists and other ills of the system that voters universally despise yet still support.

as for hillary there is no chance in hell. she is the least charismatic candidate i have heard mentioned thusfar, she is the perceived by most as the caricature the republican machine created of her during her husband's presidency, and it seems she took a turn towards the right once elected as a senator.

Oh yeah, the "Christian Forum" link in the above link requires registration, and fuck all if I'm going to sign up with those nutjobs, but I found another site that details quite a few of the nutjob comments.

Yes, it is uncanny the way that people are flocking to him. He has an eerie magnetism. I watched his speech, and I was almost spellbound. He said ALL of the right things. Even the tv commentators said that they had never heard such a good speech at a convention before. I'm going with my gut on this one. My sister and I both feel something "spooky" about this guy, but can't quite figure out what it is. It is odd that strangers come up to him on the street. Why would they do that, unless they were drawn to him.

I want to hear from just one person--one--who would vote for Hillary Clinton. I'm convinced that her supposed status as "front-runner" is a media creation based soley on name recognition, because i personally do not know one single liberal or Democrat who wants her on the ticket in any capacity.
