The first Bo Diddley album sounds beautiful.

This album, The Flowers of Romance, despite a completely dated 80s drum sound, remains very timeless. That's when you know you've made a good album, when it can stand timeless aginst the timbre of bad 80s production.

I listened to The Birthday Party's Prayers On Fire for the first time today, and it sounded like nothing I've heard before...except The Birthday Party (I already had Hits). Damn, this was made in 1981?
