i do not think there is any place where you might confuse a 2 with a Z, except for Metroid passcodes.

mtar.

I should hope there's no difficulty confusing 2s and zs when you're using a goddamn keyboard.

no no no , im not saying they don't look similar.. they do. and i can see how an uncrossed z could look like a 2 in hand land. what i'm saying, is I cannot imagine a scenario where one might confuse a "2" with a "z", since one is a number and the other is a letter. you would always infer that if it is in front of other letters it's a "z" and if it's in front of other numbers it's a "2". That's all I'm saying.

Yes, when learning reading this is waht happens. howefver, eventually all those that succeed at learning how to read, read the "intelligent" way. Watch this:

Aoccdrnig to a rscheearch at Cmabrigde Uinervtisy, it deosn’t mttaer in waht oredr the ltteers in a wrod are, the olny iprmoetnt tihng is taht the frist and lsat ltteer be at the rghit pclae. The rset can be a toatl mses and you can sitll raed it wouthit porbelm. Tihs is bcuseae the huamn mnid deos not raed ervey lteter by istlef, but the wrod as a wlohe.
