Clocker Bob I love your posts. I follow your threads all the time. I say this with the greatest respect........Only you could uncover the conspiracy in the beef at White Castle.

what about the cow eyeballs in the mcdonalds hamburgers?
that's what they use to make the patties stick together you know.
cow eyeballs.

Vile, sickening garbage.

Of the fast-food burger chains currently operating in Chicago, this has got to be the worst.

Waffles for good french fries.

But a good hamburger is my favorite sandwich in the world, and this place insults a great concept (i.e., a little verson of my favorite sandwich).

There is no better hamburger product in the fast food establishment marketplace than the White Castle jalapeno cheeseburger.

Yes, the fries are very good. However, you didn't even mention the onion chips, which would make your waffle factor like 137, which would in turn overcome your original, mistaken assessment of White Castle.

As for your "little version" jab, you just aren't ordering enough burgers per trip, my friend. The problem is knowing when to cut yourself off.

In a few months I will be leaving the Midwest for destinations Rocky Mountain West, and besides missing the obvious stuff like family and friends, I am devastated that I am also leaving behind The Castle. I'll miss the whole ritual making a giant pool of ketchup in a saucer, coating the top with a shit-ton of pepper, and dipping into it my 10-sack and onion rings.

White Castle, you make me swoon. Fuck the haters. Disregard those that say you are only to be consumed while drunk. What you and I have is the real thing, baby. Salut!

The "little version" statement wasn't a jab at little burgers generally. Bigger is not always better.

Clearly, I'm out of my depth here, not prepared to discuss particular menu items, etc. I just don't like the texture or the way the beef tastes.

Enjoy your sliders dude.

You must try the Fish Nibblers. Wow. So great. Nuggets of Alaska pollock in a flavorful, parsley-flecked breading. Just unstoppable.

And the clam strips are absolutely to die for. Not mind-blowing like the Fish Nibblers, but sneaky good -- in a cumulative way.

"Sliders" sounds like the quality of your post-Castle doo-drops.
