We don't drink but we do share cookies. It started when one guy brought cookies his wife had just baked.... now one person brings cookies (fresh or store bought) every practice.

Weed only. Anyone getting sloppy was fined.

Also, once on a weekend date, somebody kept lining up Kamakazes at the front of the stage. I don't remember the third set.

In the morning, I called up all the guys and apologized profusely. When I showed up that night for the gig, the bouncer glared at me like he was going to kick my ass right then and there. I still don't know why.

I only drank water that night, and it could have possibly been the best night that band ever had. Things were tight, the house was packed, and I learned my lesson.

I just got in from prac and I'm a little drunk. We've never had a prac where we haven't been drinking. It seems better when everybody's pretty loose. If it was important that we were tight than it would be an issue I s'pose, but it seems to be more important that we're not tight, so...

We did this radio session at 12 noon last saturday and we were all sober and our playing was comparitively shitty.

I guess it depends on what kind of band you are. We're definitely a drunk band.

The coffee industry banded together in the mid-80s and spent huge $$$ on hiring superstars to hawk coffee- not any particular brand of coffee, just coffee- even though "young people" (you, your punk rock friends, me, my punk rock friends, and Henry Rollins) were consuming so much of it.

Well the ad campaign sure worked good, huh? I know I drink a lot of coffee!

my old band never did anything sober... record, practice, play live, brush teeth... always at least mildly buzzed, usually piss drunk.

the band that i toured with in '05 - practice was usually a beer or a shot at most. live was, at minimum, a couple beers and 2-3 shots of jameson before taking the stage.

That ad campaign didn't make Folgers or Maxwell House taste any better.
