Spearhead? That was my first album... on cassette.
I was never really into Green Day... the earliest band I can really remember liking is The Offspring.

Like many, for me it was the Beatles. Soon after, I heard Kashmir on the radio and it freaked me out. When the song finished the DJ came out and informed me that it was Led Zeppelin. I went out and got Zeppelin 2 the next day and freaked out again when I heard Whole Lotta love for the first time. Led Zeppelin was exclusively played on my stereo for quite some time after with one exception being Black Sabbath. Good times. Good times.

Great story. HaHaHa! im picturing the middle section playing and a confused child shaking the radio thinking sometime was wrong with the sound? Is this what happened? Was it the middle section?

So what are you like 13 now?
Sorry, of course you're allowed to like whatever you like and I'm not dissing you.
God I am exerting unheard-of restraint right now.

Heh.
I don't care what the EA coots have to say about Blink 182...that was the first I truly went "fuck yeah" over and still enjoy to this day. Mindless, silly, basic, catchy fun. I have a lot of good summer memories of being really young with a Blink 182 soundtrack. Whatever, no shame in my game.
Sorry it wasn't PiL.

Damn dude.
And Steve V., I am giving you the benefit of the doubt that you have since then discovered silly fun fast bands with a little(lot) more integrity than Blank 187. I sincerely hope they were a gateway to good punk, much like huffing gas might lead to smoking decent herb.
If not, go get some Descendents right now mothafucka.
PiL ain't my thing.

I am hoping for some irony here, but finding none.
Thanks for reminding me why I have better things to do today than post here..
