And remember that 13 days is an average. There are many jobs where you have to work a whole year before you get as much as a week, and if you're part-time, paid time off is probably included in the benefits you don't get.
And many of those who do get more vacation time often don't even use all (or any) of it, because they have too much work.
But that's the American way. Work until you drop, and make sure you get something done while you're down there too. Go until you have nothing left, then ask for more with a smile. Eat lunch at your desk on Saturday and tell the wife not to wait up for you tonight either. Productivity is measured by the nano-unit, and we have to keep those numbers up to remain number 1 and, most importantly, keep the stockholders happy. Leisure is the province of liberals, homosexuals, terrorists, and Europeans.

42Try working in a grocery store for more then 4 years. Seriously, there are people that make 12$ an hour most their life for a reason. They are either:
A: Dumb as a fucking brick
B: Slow as hell
C: don't give a fuck about their job or their life, not enough to advance anyway.
In all honesty, it's slowly prying me away from compassion towards the lower class. It's easy to talk about equality, but when you work with dumb fuck ups 40+ hours a week, it's hard to have the same compassion. I'm not there for the rest of my life, just to get through school It's easier for me to have sympathy for someone like my uncle who is a pipefitter and has a hell of a time finding a job when a republican is in office then some stupid 34 year old lady who doesn't give two shits about her job or people that she works with.

44Does the fact that US workers get less vacation time per year than workers in other countries really mean that they are the hardest workers?
This appears to be some type of fallacy - a post hoc or non sequitur, perhaps.
This argument does not rule out the possibility that Americans spend the highest number of days per year at work, yet are not especially productive.

I didn't say anything about a shadow government. Your examples have nothing to do with the ruling class. Didn't it cross your mind the Aristocracy would support the "United Nations" or the New Deal?

In the United States and other nations without a history of a hereditary military caste, aristocracy has taken on a more stylistic meaning. It also can refer to those, like the Roosevelts, whose families came to the United States early in its history, acquired large holdings and have been able to hang onto their wealth through many generations. In the American south, particularly in former Confederate states, the term southern aristocracy refers to those families that acquired large land holdings before the Civil War and remain wealthy landowners to this day, or to families that lost their wealth in the 19th century but continue to insist on deference. In some cases, especially the latter, the usage is pejorative and refers to purveyors of snobbery, but "aristocrat" can also refer to an elegant person with a gracious lifestyle and strong sense of duty.
I'll reiterate~
Social mobility?
Any American who cares about that is an asshole.
Let them be unhappy.
