I'll give it a shot, though I'm no linguist or social scientist. Many slang terms directed at women have connotaions of sexual violence. Words like "hole" or "slut" (which comes from "slot") reduce women to a part, or to being an object that is the focus of sex and/or sexual violence. It dehumanizes them in a unique way. Cunt is more offensive than bitch because this word doesn't have those same connotations.

The same could be said for "nigger," that it's dehumanzing. But not in the same way. It's hateful and insulting and it reinforces an imbalance of power in society. But the word has lost much of its power because so many people use it casually or for humor.

No, they're not. I'm aware of what you're saying, but pronouncing it differently to indicate a different intent is a lame excuse. It's the same word.

That was a decent effort. I don't buy it at all though.

There is no direct relation between calling someone a cunt and sexual violence. The very idea seems bizarre to me.

It's a rude word and when someone's annoying we tend to insult them with rude words. Sexual violence and dehumanisation were not intended any of the 9 million times I've heard somebody called a cunt.

no... you are incorrect. if you say to someone spitefully, "YOU FUCKING NIGGA!" it would seem almost absurd. the word nigga has no weight in that capacity. if you say, on the otherhand, "YOU FUCKING [n-word]!" you could be asking for a critical beat down.
