The Archers of Loaf changed an awful lot.

Not necessarily for the better but it was an admirable difference with each album.

There aren't many, really. As mentioned, the Flaming Lips really stick out for me, having seen them in 1989 and then not again until 2000. Almost two different bands. Others:

The Replacements (last record aside)
