Over a period of a few months way back in late 80s I was obsessed with pool (9-ball) to where I would shlep out to the Billiard Cafe on Irving at Austin several times a week during the day (or after work if I had a job) with my roomate, Dave DuVall and oftentimes Albini. Steve and Dave could pretty much beat me at will, being able to play a few shots ahead, unlike me. Even back then, Steve would run us down for playing the lowly pocket billiards, though he took part as well, mostly because he totally ate it at billiards at that point in time and possibly didn't want to look like a nancy boy to the old-timers. He converted "the Diamond" to 3 cushion eventually, but I lost interest before that happened, or went on tour, or something.

I challenge Steve to a regular game of pool. Although I haven't played in a while and I've gotten pretty bad.
