I read that this morning and I've been thinking of it and laughing all day.
Fucking brilliant.

Beat me to it.
Well worth a read for those that haven't seen it before.
I was going to quote this one too. And the Richard Geefe column itself was a parody of the (authentic) John Diamond cancer journal (Nigella Lawson's husband at the time). Maybe that's mentioned in the links - I'm too lazy to check.
OK, so i'm a little late to the Geefe party, but it's the first thing I thought of.
That and "About an hour later I revealed that Clive hadn't just gone for a walk. He'd gone to divorce his head. ..."

Those gratuitous dressing room video shots seem a little out of place for run-of-the-mill Xtian hype, but yeah it could be some Jesus group trying to appear 'edgy' or something.
This Chuck Palahniuk misquote definitely points in that direction:
90 Day Jane wrote:My generation has had no great depression, no great war...
You'd think that at least they'd try to find a quote that's somewhat relevant... That
Fight Club shit is so mid-'90s.

Aye. The fact that this is the umpteenth time I've heard about this sort of suicide pact/cult thing on the interweb, but apparently this is the first one that's 'blowing up' makes me very suspicious indeed.
Yeah, when those kinds of things are
the real deal, they seldom 'blow up' until
after the bodies have been found and the headlines made.
But yeah, I'm guessing it's all a big hoax. Pretty fucking lame.
Holy fuck. Heavens Gate Away team pretty much went all out. Applewhite was a wacky dude.
They better have been blaring Cannibal Corpse's "Gallery of Suicide" while they drank the koolaid.
Everytime I see pictures or video of the house after the mass suicide was commited I cringe. The planning was done so well it trips me out.

I think I'd like to meet her. She might be an interesting depressive. Her dressing room videos are hot.
Yeah I emailed her and asked her if I could bang her before she does it, cuz why not if she's gonna be dead soon after anyway, right?
No response yet.

If she responds saying 'No', ask if after would be better.

Every time I think about mass-cult suicide I wonder how so many people could be manipulated into voluntarily killing themselves, and what kind of "magnetic" personality it requires.
I can barely convince taxi drivers to take me all the way to my front door, let alone pop a load of pills and lie down in their bunk bed before the comet comes to whisk them away to heaven.

Bob Flanagan? But I don't think that's how he died.
