Anybody that listens to that solo, or anything in that entire song, and thinks, "blues based garbage" - I am so truly sorry for where your head is at.

Hendrix should be our money.

Thank you.
Life...life...I know it's got its ups and downs.

I wouldn't use the word "garbage" at all, but I would say that most of the middle several minutes of that song was pretty uninteresting for me, except in a "75% of that guitar solo is really cool" kinda way. I'll take Page's construction of a song over Hendrix's, in general, exactly for songs like this one. For cool moves and acrobatics with a sense of effortlessness, that's where Hendrix wins. But again, Yngwie can do that, and I don't listen to Yngwie, for what are probably obvious reasons. I guess I'd just appreciate it a lot more if the song was half as long, or had some other parts to it. Definitely not "garbage". But long enough to lose my interest. Maybe I have ADD or something?

Aside from the fact that he came first, how is Hendrix a "better" guitarist than Yngwie? Seriously.

Well, they were both men of the people: http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=oNcblKLySbs Let the people decide.

I've not listened to this. Is it similar to the stuff on South Saturn Delta?

I haven't heard that, but the reviews lead me to think that SSD is more song-oriented(alternate takes of Little Wing and Angel, +Dylan covers), while NTTU is a collection of longer "jams", where maybe a loose arrangement was
decided and they expounded on that. Side 1 only has 2 tracks on it.
