Plug into your desired channel and use a patch cable to go from the same channel's input section to the input of the unused channel. Twiddle to taste. Not switchable but pretty rowdy.

That's not cascading. you're running into each of them at the input, in parallel

correct.

Last I looked, they aren't high gain, so you gotta crank them to get them to that point. they aren't louder than Hiwatts or Sunns, but they are still fucking loud.

Agreed!

There's a whole spectrum of amps, from the 5W or 15W amp that you're gonna run wide open and it gets drowned out by a loud drummer, up to 80W, 100W, 120W amps where if you run them wide open through even a 2x12" they will drown out any drummer.

The twin is a loud and clean amp. The Deluxe Reverb is like a Twin that's voiced totally differently, to get good output tube saturation at a workable volume. The twin is voiced to be loud, sharp and clean.

That's why people say stuff like that about the Twin.

Yeah I agree they are loud and they do what they are made to do, but I have had a lot of amps run through my shop in the last years that are WAAAAAY louder than any twin. I have read (not here) that people just rave how they are the loudest 2x12 combo and I beg to differ. Thats all. Great amps for sure

adding to the twin reverb talk: on saturday i played a gig with it. master volume at about 5, volume at about 4. it was loud, but oddly enough, it did sature a bit if i bashed the strings. sounded cool. but wtf? i thought it would have a bigger headroom. maybe the valves are dying?
so yeah, i'm a pussy.

i was thinking of getting a twin reverb but where i'm from it's way too expensive and it's not like i'll be playing in mega rock shows.
anyways i tried out a Fender 65 deluxe reverb reissue today and it sounded pretty good...

what u reckon about the fender 65 deluxe reverb? any better amps then this in the same price range??
