Uhhhhhhhhhh

nah i disagree. I heard nevermind and thought it was pretty damn good but was BLOWN away by the songwriting on in utero. And even from the first time I heard it I thought it was a lot more superior at the time.

I was in my early teens (kurt died when I was 9). I lived in oklahoma most of my life so there wasnt much attention given to rock music. And we didnt have the internet back then. And I knew kurt had died and somehow (maybe I didnt check the dates on the cases) I totally thought Nevermind was their last album. And in utero was release before neveremind.

I guess cause In utero never got any airplay where I lived and teen spirit got some very brief playtime. I think I logically assumed that was their last song or something cause it made so sense why they wouldnt in utero.

But I would listen to in utero and nevermind for a few years after that and I never. NEVER could understood why Nirvana would digress to the sound of nevermind from in utero. You would think a band would progress. Then I did look at the date as I was putting in the cd one day. And realized In Utero came AFTER nevermind which makes a lot more sense and gave me a lot more respect for kurt.

Sorry to let you down. I did not get a new screen name, nor would I go through the trouble or even care enough to do so. But I did get a new laptop so your ulcer and anxiety from reading capital letters can finally heal.

Butch Vig ruined the electric forum's un-speakable band's sophmore release.

no sarcasm at all. you're a peculiar one, but you know stuff about gear, so it's cool.

Did he do moist vagina? If so I did not know that. I like that song. Too bad he fucked over Nevermind

solo chistes. on a related note, upon hearing the Sonic Oldth cover of "Most Vagina," I realize how much kurt sang like kim gordon.

thanks for the compliment. I like to think I know about gear to some degree. I wish I knew more about pro audio, I know what to look for but yeah thats why I came here and it seems to be hard to make friends on this forum. oh well I guess I will keep trying. I am an asshole but I mean well. You seem chill.

Thats an interesting view how he sings like kim gordon. I will have to listen for that. I like kim gordon as a vocalist.

You are right. A lot of In Utero is stuff from the Nevermind era that didn't make the cut, some of the lyrics stink and there is a lot of filler. Somehow it hangs together amazingly as a record and it's the Nirvana record I reach for to listen to most (and it also has their best song on it - Heart Shaped Box) but Nevermind is way more consistent and an amazing record, regardless of how it's recorded.
