Shopping this evening, rock tomorrow, work on the house Wednesday with records and beer afterwards, rehearsal Thursday, Bottomless Pit on Friday, more house work on Saturday. Looking forward to it all.

Congrats Scott and Tutku! I wish you the best.

EDIT: Duh. I forgot iPhone 3g Friday.

now THAT sounds like a good looking future...minus that whole married thing!
with all kidding aside, i shall send over something nice when the day arrives.

i look forward to band practice today, finalizing a giant wall print i have been working on, seeing an early press screening of Hellboy 2, seeing The Dark Knight at midnight on the 17th, going to two days of pitchfork for free and seeing mission of burma, boris, dinosaur jr, amongst others, and having a lady come in from out of town.

looking forward.

I'm sure there's a place in the states where you can get the same kind of contact mic, but I got some from BUGBRAND in the U.K.

Mats Gustafsson had some freaky electronics from this guy and when I ordered some stuff from him he threw in a contact mic... he sells them for relatively cheap and the action on them is really high...

plus he's a rad guy that makes all his stuff in his house, and mails it out quickfast. I can support that over some chief at GC prying about my broken up band and what not.

If I am not mistaken, the PRF is the reason you two met, right? I remember her coming on here looking for a place to live, and you, Scott, needed a roomate?

am I misremembering?

well, congratulations anyway.

well we did meet here, but not quite like that. she was lurking and I think even posting when she still lived in Istanbul, and she had come to this website because she loves the good indie rock. we met because of a post I put up, about how I wanted to start a heavier band (as a side project to the Chrome Robes) called "Killfight". she happened to be relatively newly-moved to the US and without a band, and this Killfight proposition sounded interesting to her. so she PM'd me, and we got together to make some music. that's how it went. hard to believe it's almost two years ago!

thanks everyone for your congrats and well-wishes. i'm one lucky mf'er!

Not dead that which eternal lie etc etc

The music Tutku and I have made so far sounds a lot closer to Shipping News or Slint than SOD or Slayer.

But Killfight is still gonna happen at some point down the road, I expect. Kevin is working on making me a 27.5" scale guitar right now that will just be begging to get played in that kinda band.
