Oh wait, that article Cranius posted isn't satirical?
Hmmm...
Oh well, I'm not keeping MY dick in MY pants.
Overpopulaiton isn't MY fault.

Given the way humanity has used energy so far I really don't feel motivated to work in energy, no matter how "green" I could help make it. Aside from jumping into electronics and audio or something, I don't see what good can come of the stuff I'm learning. Right now, running out of oil and energy seems like a good thing to have happen (aside from the inevitable acoustic folk revivals).
There is plenty of stuff going on in physics that will prove to be incredibly important in the years to come. Just do what I did: get the degree, go to graduate school, learn enough to be employable, get kicked out, start doing live sound, get a job in physics and continue doing live sound on the weekends. You might want to rethink the part about getting kicked out of school though, t set me back a couple of years.

Which is what, 43 cents in today's dollars?
Not after they start knocking zeros off of the debt to make it more palatable.
They just knocked 10 zeros off of Zimbabwe money so that a billion dollars becomes a buck.

Zimbabwe is straight fucked. Sometimes I think that with $4 gas it couldn't get much worse, and then I remember that there is a precedent for 1,000,000% inflation. While wages stay the same.

It's all going to be explained to all of you.
Plus, we're all about crazy as it gets right now anyway, and I think it's going to get worse if we all don't get off the fucking grid.

49Even more resource wars, led under the guise of nebulous moral sounding goals, designed to make rich people richer.
“As I have said before, the ever more sophisticated weapons piling up in the arsenals of the wealthiest and the mightiest can kill the illiterate, the ill, the poor and the hungry, but they cannot kill ignorance, illness, poverty or hunger.”
