Sorry, but this look just doesn't work anymore.
I generally don't like short-sleeves of any kind, just like short-pants. Unfortunately they are useful for "comfort" in the horror of summer's heat.

If you're going to do this, make sure you have Men's Support Hose and Garters as well as a Rupture Belt.

I think the tidy, uniform-looking aspect of it is what appeals to me too.

One major caveat, though. Many short sleeved dress shirts look to be of really awful quality. I don't think I've seen a short-sleeved shirt and thought that it looks very well-cut or of a great fabric. But when things are done right, you don't really notice these things.

It is indeed hard to find a short-sleeve dress shirt that fits well. Especially ones that don't get all blousy around the waist when tucked in. The few that I have that I really like are thrift store finds (probably from the 60's) that have a thinner-through-the-waist cut to them.
