No joke. It's a great album.

wow, vanilla sky was easily one of the worst films i've seen in my entire life (up there with what women want and mr. music). their having anyhting to do with it is almost enough to tip my scale into crap for good. by that i mean it'll be stuck in crap and stay there, thus ruining my judgement forever.

i got their first album when it came out, but eventually got rid of it as i decided i didn't really like them on the whole. but there's one song on it that's just excellent, excellent music through and through. it's called "olsen olsen" and i easily the best thing i've ever heard by them. for that song alone i give cigar rose a vehement NC.

i was obsessed with their first single and album for about a month when they first appeared, but i haven't listened since, and i sold both records years ago. when i listen now i can't stand it.

back when the records first came out, you got a coupon to send in to fat cat to get a free limited edition lithograph done by the singer. i sent my coupon in and fat cat accidentally sent me three separate packages each with a print. i sold them on ebay for $50 a piece.
