Meal train?I'm all for it if we ding-dong-ditch them with meals. I think they need space right now, so no small talk. Just throwing food at them and running away.

Trey - I missed this while it was going on but am very glad to hear that you're on the way back. Do not listen to 'bats and think that Hammer pants are going to help you. This is a man whose fashion sense includes a beer helmet. Absolutely not.Pasta - christ that is fucked. Your openness and victory around your struggles to conquer your sickness are a total inspiration - I have days when I've thought shit, if a guy like that can keep battling back from something that huge then I can surely [insert thing that I'm having a hard time dealing with here]. Thoughts and prayers, except that I have no belief in god and I've been scolded many times for not thinking. To the US health care system that gives us the best science has to offer and then maddeningly withholds it from 99.99% of us because we have not been blessed with the right ER-based insurance and bank account and instead I'm fucking donating to a friend's desperate GoFundMe plea once a month at this point and it still feels like I'm being stingy (because I'm choosing not to give enough to pay for medical care for those I care about WTF), I just want to say: FUCKYOU= Justin

Weighing in that space is very important. One of the things you don't anticipate is managing receiving company and hurt feelings that sometimes result.I totally, 200% will ding dong ditch meals, order pizza, and/or spot someone's Postmates/GrubHub. Add chemo, and some quirky dietary shit gets involved. Leaving a meal on the doorstep that's ruined as little as possible by the patient's chemo is one of the most saintly things you can do.
