There is nothing about Robert Plant that I like. I hate his voice. His singing style. His look.

Nothing about Page appeals to me either.

I dislike Led Zeppelin's lyrics. I dislike their songs.

I have tried to listen to them plenty. And I always rate them as Crap.

I alwys like early Led Zeppelin's approach: Take the blues & blow them up. The first two records(and their concerts) showed what morons Iron Butterfly and Blue Cheer were with the same M.O.

Unfortunately, they had a real mouthbreather for a manager who cut them off from the real world and kept them from people who would tell them when they sucked.

They tried to get past the bombast that got old and never succeeded.

My favorite post Zep moment:seeing Percy Plant holding up a SONGS ABOUT FUCKING on the cover of some British music mag in the early 90's.

Put up a Sistine Chapel C/NC, and someone will vote crap on it. Some of these gents cant wait to slaughter sacred cows. That some will also defend a wretched Living Color song is beyond me, but there's no accounting for taste, and I'm kinda glad for that. Think of how few of us could be persuaded to care so much about music if likes and dislikes werent utterly perverse.

After 29 years of avoiding this band due to the creepy stoners who built the pedastal they dwell on and Robert Plant's ear-searing cries, I bought "Physical Graffiti" this week. The first Led Zeppelin album I have ever owned. I can't stop listening to it. It's sonic and soulful at the same time. The drumming is madness. The ripped off blues riffs are wonderful. It's dirrrrty.

It's so cool to have this be "new" to me now.

Not Crap.

Check out some of the acoustic Folk that Jimmy Page does from song to song too. It is excellent.

Also, there is some great innovative guitar writing there too, including some of the Blues licks.

Led Zep III is a great album and covers a lot of the bases. Led Zep II has some nice heavy stuff which was really pioneering.

Ach, everyone knows this already. Zeppelin rules!
