you islands haters are nuts, man. a sailor's tale is a terrific piece of music. so is ladies of the road and song of the gulls.

the ruford/wetton years are the best but islands is great also. lizard, to me, is the spottier album.

KC is very not crap.

13. King Crimson live - absolutely not crap

8 not craps - 5 craps (split decision on #'s 9 and 12)

King Crimson = Not Crap

plus - Peter Sinfeld's lyrics - total crap but on a plane above and beyond.

VERY NEARLY MY EXACT THINKING. But I haven't really liked anything post "3 of a Perfect Pair," live or studio.

Fripp - why did you let Belew sing? What are you, goofy?

Those Sinfield lyrics were so hippied out.

Said the great man to the late man
"Where have you been?"
"I've been here and I've been there and
I've been in between."

(fingers snapping)

"We're going to try it twice more, once with the oboe and once withite it."

Fripp talks funny.

I really like the sound of "21st Schizoid Man." Tried to get into their stuff from the same period and never really found anything I was into.

I think Shellac reminds me of Crimson, without the virtuosity.

Ladies of the Road (from Islands)
Lizard
Lark's Tongue
Starless
Red

Not Crap

I was listening to Deerhoof's yesterday and they quote Vrooom in the first song there. Not that it has anything to do with King Crimson being NC, with a few doubtful moments.

Not Crap, a few duff records, but so much amazingly awesome material to counter it.

In the court of the Crimson King was played to me by a friend some time ago. It was pretty good. He held my against the floor with a pistol on the other side of my head.

Cat Food is a fucking fantwattingtastic tune. The album, I forget.
