I bought a Danelectro 12-string electric guitar. It was not set up out of the package. No problem.... a couple hex wrenches, some WD-40 and and we're good to go.It's a nice and cheap piece of music.

Palmer PDI-09: a handy passive device that takes the speaker output of your amp and converts it into a mic level signal with speaker simulation i.e. direct recording from your amp. You still have to run the amp signal through to a speaker so it only works for silent recording if you have an attenuator for your speaker (as I do). It s gives a pretty good result “ surprisingly good “ and used with an attenuator is ideal for home recording where miking a cabinet is not a realistic option. You may need to work a little with the volume and tone on your guitar and the bright/normal/mellow settings on the unit to get the sound you want. It s significantly better sounding than any amp sim plug-in I ve used, and with a touch of compression and/or reverb you could almost think you're listening to the real thing.
