42I am goign to see her on Monday in Atlanta. I really hope it's not one of those shows that should be played in a morgue. I dont' expect her to rock, but I am hoping for some energy that's not 'candles and incense'.
New record is very good. There are two or three obvious filler songs, but the more I listen to it the more I like it. Her vocal delivery is a little different, and I like it.
Here's to Nina Nastasia. I will buy all of her merchandise. Maybe even a tshirt.

44One of the best singer-songwriters working today, "I Say That I Will Go" is one of my favourite songs ever written, me and my girlfriend saw her last week... so fucking amazing,

45She has the most amazing voice. I just sat 10 feet away from her in a crowd of one hundred people and was blown away.

46Not crap.
My first reaction to the new album was "meh." After listening to it many times more, I think it's her best.

47jesus fucking christ.
i got "run to ruin" and based on that record i can't fathom why would anyone vote crap on her. absolutely wonderful piece of music. it's so good i limit my self on listening to so i won't overkill it. some songs have a similar vibe to JOMF's "beutiful september" and i love that song.
TOTAL not crap.

48Yeah, that record is beyond classic. The combination of those songs, that voice and that recording aesthetic is just stunning. I think 'You Her and Me' might top it for me. When she lifts her voice during that song it is actually harrowing, in the most wonderful sense of the word.
NOT CRAP, at all. Ever.
NOT CRAP, at all. Ever.

49It took me a while to 'get' her but now I can firmly say NOT CRAP.
