Theyre made of cornstarch and if you dont need them you can just dump em in the sink/yard and they dissolve. Booyah.I wonder if fm Major's post was directed at the functionality of the peanuts or the fact that they're made of styrofoam? I have a bunch of peanuts that I got from another fm, and I just use them until they run out. I have no desire to buy more, unless I can find some of those ones that can be dissolved. I like that!I'm not Major, but I hate styrofoam peanuts for a few reasons:1) they get everywhere2) they're styrofoam3) unpacking the shipped thing is more trouble than it ought be because I don't want to spill them all over4) I have to dig through the box like a kid looking for a prize in cereal after that to ensure I didn't miss some part that fell off or was packed separately5) again, they're styrofoamSo yeah, the cornstarch ones would solve 2&5 and to a lesser extent 1 (since getting everywhere is in part a static cling problem), but 3&4 still make them less desirable for me than bubble wrap.

This guy from Finland wants my 50's Gibson GA-6 but I am nervous about shipping it. It just seems like a big liability for me. Thoughts?

Thoughts?Disjointed thoughts:* Payment by PayPal I assume?* If so, insist on insured shipping. Or ask him to send PayPal payment as "Gift", so you won't incur a chargeback if things go south.* Does he have Discogs/eBay/Reverb/what-have-you feedback somewhere?

For rare and truly vintage stuff, not so much. I typically look at completed listings on ebay to gauge what people have actually paid over the past couple months.

There's more liability for them on the buyer end.
