Didn't you sound check them? If they were not loud enough, I'm sure they would have liked to know that prior to playing. As you mentioned, they came equipped with massive amps; logic tells us that they had a reason for bringing them along.

In addition, Wata just had a baby right before that tour began. They could have canceled the tour, but she opted to bring the baby along with them instead. I give big credit for her stamina. If memory serves me correctly, they were playing a gig almost every night.

One thing is above dispute. Boris are road warriors. No matter what else, you cannot question their devotion.

All I know of them is a video of them playing live that a guy loaned to me a while back. It was, um, boring as shit. It was like if you took 80's Melvins stuff and made it not awesome. And nobody needs to do that, really. I'm assuming they named themselves after the Melvins song, too. So extra retard points for that.

Don't listen to my opinion on this though, I can sit through a 10 disc box set of Les Rallizes Denudes and High Rise without being bored.

Motherfuckers were amazing tonight.
I turned 28 halfway through their set.
I tried to talk to them about baseball and Dice-K was all they had to speak about.
I mentioned Matsui and they were all "Dice-K is number 1".
Good to know Japan thinks as little of the Yankees as I do.

Such a good band, I think they can be too prolific though, they have released loads of albums. I like the way they go from doom to straight out rock from album to album. Suppose you could say all the above about the Melvins.

I have seen them live once, and to be honest I was a bit underwelmed. I think this, however, was due to the fact that I loved Boris way before I got the chance to see them live. I had built up how good this band was going to be in my head. Maybe I caught them on an off night.
