42Hey:
stupid rockstar assholes -- why you break the gear? hunh? such a waste. want to do something cool?
give gear to local opening hand-to-mouth local bands. that would be cool.
better than destroying shit.

43One of the best live shows of any indy band. They were the best thing at Lollapalooza last year.

47I wanted to post this ages ago but since this thread has been bumped this seems like a good opportunity. It's a P-Fork interview with Trail Of Dead mastermind Conrad Keely. Bearing in mind that I haven't given two shits about this band for five years or so, this was one of the most interesting, enlightening interview with anyone who made the jump from a mid-level independent label to a major. Seriously, an interesting read by anyone's standards.
When I read it I was both annoyed by his own sense of entitlement and also sympathetic to his obvious frustration. He clearly thinks he is fighting the good fight in earnest and is shell-shocked by the lack of response, critical or commercial. He admits that he no longer likes playing live or touring. He even says that he put his heart into one record, which was critically mauled, and since then he doesn't feel like putting as much of himself into subsequent records. It's illuminating and heart-breaking at once since his desire for mainstream acceptance seems to have consumed his sense of artistic integrity.

48Good energy on STAC and Madonna, but it seems like they have burned themselves out as a creative group, I did not by the new album due to many reviews that I read similar to the ones here.
The instrument destruction is pointless, does nothing to prove anything aside from stupidity.
I had know idea they had 2 drummers!!
