I know next to nothing about plumbing, but I managed to fix the kitchen spout that kept popping off.
Stay tuned for the kitchen spout to pop off again.

All those childhood years of struggling to do large numbers of sit ups to make the grown-ups at school happy and now they say three 20 or 30 second planks a day is all you really need.

When you see the same model car as yours, in the same color, out on the road should you wave at the driver?

This isn't the sun's fault. The sun used to be just fine until the business guys came along and said "what if we made the workers buy cars and chauffeur themselves around, and we told them that this abuse on our part was actually their dearest freedom".

Just got back from the athletics, where I saw the second fastest women's 400m hurdles in history. The woman who won, won by two hundredths of a second. The margins in elite athletics are crazy.

If your turbocharger isn't running off an overrun clutch, you're doing it wrong.

You know how sometimes your mind has been wandering in certain patterns of thought and then you find these same patterns being expressed by some well-known text or person? This is exactly what I just found reading a summary of Carl Schmitt's The Concept of the Political. Specifically the idea of conflict being inherent to existence (which is just my understanding of Marx), and the insights that can be gained from conceiving of political realities in theological terms.
It is not unlikely of course that such instances are results of you having previously come into brief contact with the content of this text, and a fragment of the same becoming lodged in your mind, forgotten about, then resurfacing later.
