When this thread was made anew there were rumblings about its worth, which I understand. The male gaze has been taken to task to some small degree in recent years, which I find a worthy discussion, yet I still have that gaze of mine to contend with.
This dilemma has been exemplified in my relationship to Alexandria Ocasio Cortez. Every time I see her I'm immediately struck by her unquestionable physical beauty. Seconds after this base response to her visage there is some self recrimination around the idea that AOC's appearance is the least relevant detail concerning her role in society. I find my mind split in the effort to not objectify this fantastic woman. I really don't know where to put AOC's hotness, it's not what she's about but it's impossible to ignore.
