That reminds me…I got pulled over in Northern Louisiana a few months ago while listening to Lovedrive by the Scorps (hi Randy). “Coast To Coast” was on and I felt like I was driving over a cloud of titties, wholly unaware of the weeziana state trooper on the side of the road. 14 mph over the speed limit, $230 ticket.

Good morning, and thank you for reminding me of that understated, underrated, and awesome Scorps tune. It's that penultimate Matthias lead that ushers the song into cloudland. So good.

Such a deceiving song. Most of it rolls along like a spiky ball destroying everything in its path, then it gets to its ecstatic coda which explodes into the sky. Great, great record and song.

"On the Inside," for those gazey times when you feel like careening into the horizon.

Another incredible soaring coda. I distinctly recall buying the 10" with the, Crank! A Record Company, description that said "sounds like soaring from atop a very high building" or something to that effect. I've tried to create music with that theme mind.
