Death Angel are absolutely the greatest teen band in history. Silverchair they were not.

No disrespect to DA (and not Thrash) but I believe Emperor were in their late teens when they recorded In the Nightside Eclipse.

Wake Up Dead is the shit but you are fucking deranged if you think the rest of Peace sells sucks. Good Mourning/Black Friday is better than anything on Rust in Peace. I've never read such disrespect.

PREACH.

Black Friday is one of the best songs ever written by anyone ever. I will not stand for such disrespect!

Peace Sells is absolutely and by miles Megadeth's best whole album. Rust in Peace is the one you're thinking of if you're talking about an opening track so great that it bamboozles the listener into thinking the rest of the album is something other than a trough of filler. If they'd only left off I Ain't Superstitious, it would be straight bangers.

Agreed about "I Ain't Superstitious." Save for "These Boots" I was never too thrilled with the results of Megadeth's choice in covers, with SFSG...SW having the exceptional uninspired Sex Pistols rendering. But, holy moly, Peace Sells is a speedy, back-breaking, riff-twisting beast of a metal record. Chris Poland and Gar Samuelson are phenomenal players. I stan.

Poland was the best.

A comment I read somewhere: "Marty Friedman can play absolutely anything.....except Chris Poland solos."
