He was always a hero to me. I really can't believe this. Condolences to his family and friends, and thank you for everything.

Fuck… he literally changed my life… him and this forum set my life on a path that made me incredible friends and ultimately helped me transition and to the family I have today… RIP Steve

We were at Electrical this past weekend and it was so great to be in Steve's "house" and be able to create something. While he wasn't in the building at the time Steve's presence was all over the place. I will treasure my handful of interactions with him. I'm not sure if this is Steve's but it was hung up in his area. RIP Steve, a good man.

Holy shit, I'm sorry to hear this.

Steve, you did so many good things for people that you knew well, let alone barely knew. I owe you so much for the things you did for me and my friends as we made music together. You will live forever in so many ways, but especially in the hearts of those you personally touched.

I was reflecting on Steve after hearing the news, and I feel like this was a really important thought (probably summed up better than I could)

I don't feel geographically local enough to the scene to sound the horn on this, but we're going to make something to honour him, I'm sure, and it will be a great big slab of love.

This is breathtakingly awful.

Love to all who were close to him. I barely got to know him and still I feel sick and robbed of a friend and a gigantic presence in my life and of years and years of art and laughter and learning from him. He built a thing and created a space and allowed for the universe’s strings to get pulled in ways that completely changed the course of my life.
