So far every example given made me smile (how could anyone vote crap, I thought) and then I remembered KMFDM and their 'hilarious' lyrics.

So, WF
I would get skateboard catalogs in the mail as a teenager and they'd have records in the back of the catalog and I loved KMFDM's artwork / design.
Then I finally heard KMFDM after a couple years; you can imagine my horrified laughter at the refrains of "KMFDM, doin' it again!"
Man, I had a KMFDM shirt in early high school. It was often made fun of. Fortunately, I barely remember what they sound like. Never wanted to revisit that.

VH's "could this be magic", right before the solo:

DLR: "Edward..."
*Eddie plays a lick*
DLR: "thank you"

And then of course there is Funky Drummer.

“Hey, hey, hey, hey! One break, cooooooming up!”

Followed by . . . no break. Nice misdirection, David Lee Roth!

(NC, with some waffles.)
Dave is all about that.

"Here's The National Anthem..." before they do not play it in "Yankee Rose"

"Stop Dreamin' And Start Driving Stevie..." in "Knucklebones"

"Take One For Yourself Now, Billy/Don't Be Shy..." in "Two Fools A Minute" Later on, there is a "Modulate, Daddy/Modulate"
Wow, some Skyscraper deep cuts. I don't know if even Dave himself remembers that album exists

The "singer" from Motley Crue does this a lot... it's mostly a warning the song is about to get much worse.
