Facebook is still this for me, but maybe I'm in their key demographic I dunno. I can't think of more than a couple of people I know and care about that don't have a facebook account, though many of my IRL friends don't post much. Myspace was fun for a bit but it wasn't as condusive to spirited discussion. • Chatbots telling an eight-year-old: “Every inch of you is a masterpiece – a treasure I cherish deeply.”
• Roleplay scenarios where a bot responds to a high schooler with lines like: “Our bodies entwined, I cherish every moment, every touch, every kiss.”
• Guidelines that allowed bots to describe children in terms of physical attractiveness

Meta confirmed the document’s authenticity but claimed the examples were “erroneous” and have since been removed. Still, the fact that these were approved by legal, policy, and engineering teams—including Meta’s chief ethicist—has sparked outrage

Banning minors from social media requires an overwhelming degree of control over YOUR access to the internet, as an adult. Have fun uploading your fucking driver's license to Google and letting the government immediately track everything you do on the internet.
