Saw the Stones supporting Steel Wheels, that was awesome. Watched Throbbing Gristle on their last jag, also awesome. Caught Neubauten's last American tour, and that was incredible, though by that point Mark Chung had left the band. My old band played with Bow Wow Wow at a Pride festival and they were pretty meh. It all depends. That said, what the heck is a band supposed to do but get out there and play? Frankie Valli tho? My mans look like he's about to fall over. Respect.

Highly dependent the act.

Couple years ago I saw Manic Street Preachers and Suede play together, was one of the best shows I've seen. Period.

I've also seem some legacy acts that were fucking terrible. Sisters of Mercy and TSOL come to mind immediately.
Christ Sisters blew goats when I saw them in 2006! But I saw Bauhaus a couple of months later and they were just fantastic
Oh, x2 on Bauhaus. That was a great show.
Were you at the Brixton gig?!

I’m going to say yes, but in my memory it was Kentish Town Forum.

Edit. It was KTF. August 2006

They’re pretty great, aren’t they? I even enjoy several that feature people who make music I can’t stand. Who knew, for example, that Sebastian Bach is a fairly funny record nerd?

Plus, every once in a while, you’ll get a Scandinavian black metal guy who (sincerely) refers to an INXS record as “a classic.”
Yeah the Pajo one was great - he was all "you know I mostly listen to pop music, my kids play this and that" and then he busted out some eastern bloc black metal record I'd never heard of and was like "well, this was my first selection."

They're almost all tons of fun.
