It has been way too long since I have seen the folks I know and look forward to meeting those I don't.

Any hotel recommendations in the area. I am heading westward the next day (Friday) so I am not really looking to backtrack back toward the city.

If you're only coming to Thursday, your best bet might be some of the ones a few miles west near O'Hare. There's also a Holiday Inn Express in Niles that's a 5 min. drive from Illuminated Brew Works!

^ Along those same lines, what's the parking situation around IBW? Is street parking usually available in that neighborhood or is reserving parking beforehand (e.g., via SpotHero) a good idea?

I usually like taking Metra down to the city, but due to IBW being pretty far out from the city center, almost in the suburbs, and Metra having really shitty timing on its inbound trains on the Fox Lake line during the early evening, it's going to be much more convenient for me to drive (yuck).

Parking around IBW is free and easy give a block or two. Coming from Milwaukee I prefer it to nearly any Chicago venue cuz I can get in and out of town before traffic patterns start.
