Between punk/independent, noise rock, no wave, and weirdo/music nerd bands, the 90's was an embarrassment of riches for rhythm sections IMO. But, given the choices, I voted for swivel hips. His Cows stuff was properly greasy/demented and the Rutmanis era of the Melvins was among their best stuff.

I chose Bob from the list. Bundy Brown might be my favorite 90’s bass player. Others- Rose from Babe the Blue Ox, Nathan from Trans Am, Colin from Dog Faced Hermans, Seth from Circus Lupus, and Tom from Tar.

Biggest pumpkins fan here
A few of these names are unfamiliar to me
Yet I will say Darcy doesn’t belong on this list. She wasn’t even the best bassist in the band.

The best greenwood bassist is Colin.

I agree with all of the above.

I groan and hesitate to type the name Claypool but I do anyway.

Jesus, who voted Flea?

To be fair I have a soft spot for Flea. Seems a genuinely decent guy and good musician in an on aggregate awful band.

Does Troy Gregory merit consideration?
