No, not if one likes the product but I find myself occasionally interested in people (musicians, performers and engineers) whose music I
don't like purely because from an objective perspective they have value. That's something that one cannot say of Minogue or Madonna et al.

Regarding manufactured music, I'd add that for me to truly love one of those pieces the singer would have to bring something of their own to it. Crossovers; I remember the big rock/rap crossover gabble from a decade or so back. I think most people do this ultimately for no other reason than to broaden their sales. What you get are execrable novelty records.
