i always thought Yut was A-OK.

He is knowledgable, i will give him that.

Thanks for your opinion on the subject.
Maybe someday i'll get around to asking you what you think of Yut.
Just think about it...when i do ask. You don't even have to answer the question. Cause you and i will already know the answer!

Salad Days ahead!

CAN........? not crap ever.

I found out that Netflix has an extensive library of Yes DVD's, which I have been watching for the past year or so...

I really have a new perspective on this band. For some reason, I figured they took the route of Genesis, and did nothing but pop music from the 80's on. Then I rented their recent live DVD's (from 1999 on) and they are all about the prog. Sure, they will throw in Owner of a Stinky Fart and Rhythm of Blub.

Jon Anderson is an amazing bloke. I used to think he was just a very good singer and could strum a geetar. I didn't know he played so many other instruments. All this for someone who dropped out of school at the age of 15 to work on a farm and support his family. His solo work really demonstrates his brilliance (as if his aura didn't already demonstrate this)

But I won't even bother putting up a Yes C/NC poll, because I know so many people only know about the lonely fart... Heck, even Drama is pretty darn good, even with those buggles bungholes.

Oh yes... Also went to a Dream Theater show and had my condo completely remodelled (I think there is one wall that is still original, but has been repainted). And yes, I went for the stainless steel counters and they rock. 14 gauge stainless steel with an integrated Elkay sink... Grohe fixtures... All the good stuff that really doesn't increase the resale value that much, which doesn't matter because I can't afford a real house here anyway... I'll be livin' in a condo for a long long time...

Actually, I think having my condo remodelled was a big part of it, because I had to work onsite instead of at home... And Bradley had banned this IP address or something. But we merged our networks with the Northbrook one, and now my IP address is from somewhere in IL...

Oh, and then my downstairs neighbor moved out, and some other dude who blasts his music louder than I do moved in, which has enabled me to rock around the clock on the v-drums, synclavier, roto-toms, and viola.

So that's what this douche-o-matic has been up to...

I envy you AnthonyVillalobos, so much brilliant music to discover. Tago Mago is a perfect choice for autumn, side one is about as good as they ever got but there is much left to uncover and the records with Malcolm Mooney present another face altogether. I've been listening to Can for almost two decades and the early records are things I will return to until the very end. Here's a snippet of Can no-one has ever really heard. Regrettably, a very diminished bitrate but recognizably them (Michael Karoli's overloaded whine, the deadened thwack of Jaki's snare, the flute dates it to around the time of Soundtracks), it's a track from a rare library record which doesn't mention the band but credited to Czukay/Liebezeit/Karoli/Schmidt, a nifty little thing. Can - In Calcutta
