did i miss much? i just don't like that venue...

Yeah, £10 is alot, considering I saw it advertised as £7.50.

I reckon it was above 36 centigrade in there, anyway the heat was pretty nasty. The view was quite restricted by the pillars too. The music was good but the venue was like the Black Hole of Calcutta.

It was brilliant and if they now go back to the States and break-up you'll be living a life of regret.

Even if they put a 20cm riser for the stage it would make a big difference. As far as the heat goes... The lack of air-con in this country is an endless source of wonder for me.

Might this be because the venue's underground!?

We have no need for this. Surely as a resident of this country for more than a few months you can see that the sun coming out is a rarity.
Some ice cubes in your knickers are perfectly adequate.

What time did the gig wrap up, BTW?

Asleep yet?

Gramsci also got a mention in 'Spaced'...

"In the inner sanctum of Fantasy Bazaar, Tim's boss, Bilbo, is telling the story of Minty and Gramsci. Minty was a communist who had trained his monster Alsatian, Gramsci (named after an Italian Marxist), to attack the rich. The whole thing worked until Minty won £100,000 on a scratchcard and Gramsci bit his knees off… It wasn't the tragedy it first appears because he just used his winnings to buy new joints and Gramsci… Gramsci supposedly found refuge on Hampstead Heath… Close to the meat…"

That's about the only level at which I can get involved in this discussion.
I know my man El Capitan went to see Battles last night. I've heard great things about them, but sadly I don't think they're playing any dates in Lincolnshire. UK Subs are playing next month though., and we had a Blondie tribute playing in the park last weekend, so can't complain...
