I think this was one of the Metro show which Brad Wood did the live sound. I remember being stunned at just how fucking amazing the room sounded. I recall telling Greenless this after the performance in which he said, "that's Brad Wood for you"... Definitely one of many highlights in the thirty or so times I saw Tar.

I seem to remember that show as well. As I recall, the room ROARED that night. I think we paid Brad $50 or so or doing sound. Well worth it.

Right. My old housemate Richie had a bunch of American indie compilations, I must have got them befuddled. We had a big bong too back then so it was quite easy to get befuddled.

The Good Doctor Sphincter, indeed. I had the pleasure of spending a year in improv with him, Mo Collins was also in this improv team. I also played lead guitar for Dr. Sphincter and the Hunger, as well as appearing on Let's Bowl a couple of times, along with Tom Hazelmyer.

I haven't talked to him lately, he's got two kids now and is usually quite busy. Great guy though, and I think he's hilarious as Dr. Sphincter.

Rifle Sport played with TAR at least once, I think I still have a matchbook somewhere. Great band and guys.

I am a big fan of those spots on the Amrep videos.

We opened for Rifle Sport at least once at Dreamerz. Maybe twice, though I might be thinking of the all-star Flour touring band from that era...You guys brought this refrigerator-sized trunk up that ridiculous stair case at Dreamerz containing Todd's brand-spanking new drum kit. It was like one case for the entire kit. VERY impressive.

Just for the record, I believe that my date was mistaken - this would have been the fall of '91, I think, not '92, as I originally stated. Sorry 'bout that.
