I just looked and it's actually Electr-o-pura.
Anyway, this is in my opinion, the only must have record by this band.
It's also probably the best use of a trem pedal that I've ever heard.

I'm with ya on the trem pedal. However, I don't think I could do without And Then Nothing Turned Itself Inside Out. "Cherry Chapstick" alone is just...and let's not forget "Let's Save Tony Orlando's House"...or "Night Falls on Hoboken," one of my absolute favorite album-ending tracks ever...MAN I love that record.

EDIT for sloppy capitalization.
What are the queers doing to the soil?

Has anyone heard this new record?

I have, and the sample tracks are not wrong -- it's a damn good record, ecclectic in the manner of I CAN HEAR THE HEARTS BEATING AS ONE. Another great record from a truly great band. Ho hum. :)

It's a really good record.
I'm not a huge fan but I must say I like it a lot.

Even if the record isn't very good, at least Yo La Tengo has the best album title of the year.

"Painful" and "Electr-o-pura" are great records, but "I Can Hear. . ." hasn't held up very well. Its pretty patchy and the best songs could of easily been whittled to a much more concise record. I haven't listened to "And Then Nothing Turned Itself Inside-Out" in a very long time, but I remember thinking it was pretty great.

The first track on the new record was fucking brilliant, messy, krauty with the rocky(10 minutes!) very brave. The next song that stuck out was the in my humble estimate tribute to Dave Davies track that the other dude, not ira, was lead vocals on.

Quite good on first listen. Summer sun was also a slow burner. We will see.

Not crap from this totem pole.
ChoCko is back in town!
