Watched All That Breathes on HBO last night and can't stop thinking about all the layers in this majestic and important film...best thing I've seen in a while

Netflix
You Season 4, Part 1. I'm planning to binge watch this then feel ashamed of myself.

Yeah, this show is truly a guilty pleasure.
In the LA season, season 2, the grocery store "Anavrin" is clearly a nod to the local "natural food" (read, super fucking expensive and shopped at by rich women in yoga pants) store, Erewhon. Kinda funny they made it so obvious.

The new Maron special is good, and I've been lukewarm on his stuff in the past.

I need to post about the remainder of my trip to Cali, but we were in LA this earlier this week for Unwound, and on Monday night we went to the comedy store for some sort of up and comers night, and Marc Maron showed up unexpectedly and did a 15 minute set. I like him as a podcaster more than a comic usually, and even then it's smallish doses that I enjoy the most.
The set he did was mostly off the cuff, riffing new stuff, and it was good. Better than I remember seeing before. There was a bit he did about his dad buying a gun to shoot a former business enemy that I thought was particularly good.

Yeah, definitely. The neurotic mommy issues material had its place I guess, but he seems to be on more of a Vonnegut trip now. "Christianity: things will be awesome when you die. Leave some money in the basket!"

Speaking of this. Since Erewhon is almost Nowhere spelled backwards, they should have called it Anarvin so it's almost Nirvana spelled backwards too.
We finished the first installment of Season 3 (half season) and I enjoyed it as a ridiculous whodunnit more than I enjoyed Glass Onion.

Finished Andor last night. Really well done, Star Wars without the Force for grown ups.

Indeed. Erewhon's parent LLC is called Nowhere, Inc. I have to wonder why they intentionally misspelled it.

Started watching The Leftovers a couple of weeks ago. Just started S2 yesterday. Enjoyed S1 so much that I never skipped past the title cards. Hope S2 is just as engaging.
