No, you've missed the point, even though it was spelled out for you. We do not all "do our own research." Unless if everyone but me is secretly a scientist with access to a state of the art lab doing their own clinical trials with large sample sizes and subjecting their findings to deep analysis and peer review. This is not just a question of semantics.
We might all try to "inform ourselves" about the ongoing situation. We might all have our own opinions about any number of things related to COVID-19. But that's not actual research. And depending on who one is, where he's getting his information, and what conclusions he draws, he might not be that informed at all, in the sense that his conclusions are based on the facts.
The facts, as of today, are that vaccines do, have, and will save lives.
