Fuck that. A polite letter explaining the position and asking that the post be removed is the adult way to handle something like that. Invoking the DMCA and threatening litigation is bullshit. Of course the have the
right to behave this way, they have the
right to behave like Warner Bros. or Sony BMG if they so choose. I would hope for better from what I have long considered a shining example of an ethically run record label.

Records are important. If they do not care enough about the music on this album to at least make some server space available and offer it for sale as a download they should step aside and let the community take care of it.
