Good fucking lord Poilievre needs to grow some balls. For all his tough talk yesterday, suddenly today (as of his Facebook feed from 30 minutes ago) he wants to bend over and be Trump's lap dog? What happens when Trump makes a new demand next month? And the month after that? When/if he becomes PM, when will he draw the line, when there's an invasion force in Ottawa? Does he need to be reminded that the free trade agreement Trump is violating today is the one he strong armed Canada into signing to replace NAFTA yesterday? It's never going to end. Canada needs to strengthen and arm itself (preferably with nuclear weapons, if there is to be any real deterrent to an invasion), not bend over and take it.
I have decided that emigration is probably in my best interest. As I look at the chess board, the border discussion, deportations, Gitmo, directives to detain "illegals" in local prisons, attempts to eliminate birthright citizenship, lack of any real funding to deport everyone, and so on, the intent has become painfully obvious: this is all a pretense to strip generations of citizens of Mexican or other Latinx descent of our citizenship, seize and sell our property to white people, and send us to slave labour camps to ensure that the produce gets picked and the machines keep humming while reducing the costs for white America. This is how they "solve" the inflation problem and the housing problem. Trump's comment about the 14th amendment being for the slaves wasn't just a stupid comment, it was carefully chosen to sow division between minorities and create a hierarchy. If this is a repeat of 1935 Germany, then we're not in the group of people that needs to consider how we will resist and aid the Jews, we are the Jews.
