Man...Spoorloos. What a ride. I wish I saw it back in the day. That ending is something else, but it didn't completely fuck my world up if it weren't for a nasty exploitation flick I saw beforehand called Megan is Missing. To be as clear as possible Spoorloos is the superior film hands down and in no way is comparable to the awfulness of Megan is Missing, except for the ending. After experiencing *that* horror show what happened to Rex in Spoorloos, though dastardly, is a little less so seen through the perspective of the unfortunate fate of preteen Megan and her friend Amy. Big time ick.A_Man_Who_Tries wrote: Thu Oct 10, 2024 4:36 pm

Such a heavy movie even without all of the spooky stuff, and phenomenal performances from the two main leads, Sope Dirisu and Wunmi Mosaku. There is another migrant-themed horror movie I listed earlier called Savageland, and in my most humble of opinions it is severely slept-on. Uber creepy with the most terrifying photographs and it deals with current themes.Wood Goblin wrote: Thu Oct 10, 2024 9:29 pm Just finished His House, which was excellent, as promised.
Very little time for most modern horror, but this did have a bit about it. Good film.Wood Goblin wrote: Thu Oct 10, 2024 9:29 pm Just finished His House, which was excellent, as promised.
When I was age 3 to 5, I had a recurring dream about the Tickle Lady. She had long fingernails and resembled Carol Burnett. She would stand in the hallway and slowly say “Tick-le…tick-le…” Then she would approach the room in strange jerky motions with her fingernails out, saying “Tickle…tickle…tickle…” and then she’d rush toward the bed, yelling “Tickle tickle tickle tickle!” with those creepy fingernails, and I’d be flailing and screaming, absolutely terrified.
There is a scene in the Rodney Ascher documentary about sleep paralysis called The Nightmare in which this one guy recounts his paralysis episodes where aliens would come into his room and tickle him. Super creepy. A little hot.Dave N. wrote: Fri Oct 11, 2024 11:39 pmWhen I was age 3 to 5, I had a recurring dream about the Tickle Lady. She had long fingernails and resembled Carol Burnett. pobrecitoI still have to have my feet under the covers because of those fucked up dreams that were provoked by my mom and my aunts tickling me to the point of extreme discomfort. Fuggin’ women.
