I'm unfortunately not in a position to afford STALKER 2 at the moment, but it sounds like by the time I can, some bugs will have been remedied.
The Ur-Jank shooter will have to wait.

Took a break for a while to get more end-of-year shit (and music) done, now back at it a little. Started playing Chorus. Has some definite weaknesses but otherwise pretty fun if you're not expecting all that much from the story and human elements. First time playing a dogfighting sort of game, took some getting used to, but now I'm into it.

Three big sessions into a Baldur's Gate 3 session with the missus and it's just starting to open up. What a ludicrous piece of work. Unbelievable how that's all been assembled really.
God it is huge. Even with its faults it is amazing how they actually pulled this game off. I stayed in hard all the way to the end and was sad when it was over. I'll definitely run through again in a year or so. Gets a little loose at the end but if you just stick to your chore list it is pretty tight. I love this game.

$4.99 on Steam right now. I ended up getting it, cuz I just wanna fly in space and blow shit up. I read this review and I was sold (because it's only $5):
Right, so there's this game called Chorus, and let me tell you, it's about as mid-tier as a beige Volvo in a parking lot full of Ferraris. But - and here's the thing - being mid-tier isn't a bloody insult. It's just... fine. Like that mate who's not gonna win Britain's Got Talent, but can play a decent guitar at the pub.

I picked up Ballionaire, only because the artwork looked cool as hell and it was only $10. So far, it's a fun game to kill 15-20 minutes at a time, if that's your bag.

Yeah, it was definitely already worth the 8€ or whatever I paid for it. I'm pretty far along in it now and enjoying it. It's trashy in a way I like, with a nice feel. I would definitely recommend turning the music and sound design way down, like at 60, with dialogue at 100, to make it less annoying. At the moment I actually appreciate that I can put this game down for long stretches and accomplish other things and still enjoy going back to it and blowing off steam without losing the desire to finish it eventually.

I believe the Steam sale has the full Mass Effect trilogy up for about 4 euros, in case you missed that. Crazy bargain.

Divinity Original Sin for $2.99. I probably won't get to playing it, but I've been wanting to for years. It's cheaper than a pack of Altoids, so it was worth it. Also, Grindstone is on sale for $8. I bought it when it first came out on the Epic gamestore. I just purchased it on steam because the Epic launcher is donky dick and it's a pain in the ass to get it to work well on the Deck through the Steam launcher. Totally worth the double purchase, imo.
Oh and Ballionaire? I didn't know if I was going to like it, but I've been glued to it every night since I bought it. Once you start seeing some of the strategies, it gets real fun. And the other pachinko boards that get unlocked after you beat the initiate stage are super fun (although I think my favorite is still the base board).

I'm looking forward to this – I imagine (or I'm hoping) that it'll be screening on MUBI over here.
